Prezentowany obecnie przekład Michała Jacka Mikosia, profesora slawistyki na Uniwersytecie Wisconsin w Milwaukee, stanowi zaledwie niewielką, choć znaczącą część jego pracy translatorskiej. Profesor Mikoś jest tłumaczem poezji staropolskiej – od początków piśmiennictwa do końca XVIII wieku.

 

This is the first complete English translation of Kochanowski's Laments since 1928. Michael J. Mikoś is professor of Slavic Languages at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. This volume is a selection from the forthcoming bilingual edition of his translations of Old Polish literature.
